A 2-Day Course on Relaxing Mind for Business Leaders
In this 2-day course program, you will learn the key points of the basic knowledge on mind and mind-training methods in a simple and practical way adapted to meet the needs of the modern western business leader.
Quality of leadership is a key question in today’s world for organizations. Leaders are increasingly looking for meaning, human connectedness, happiness, and ways to contribute positively to the world. That’s true whether we are at home or at work.
Understanding the Mind
To realize the full potential of ourselves and our organizations we need to be self-aware and resilient in the face of internal and external challenges. Developing a new way of leading, rooted in greater self-awareness and resilience, starts with understanding one’s own mind. By understanding how our mind works, we can lead ourselves effectively. By understanding and leading ourselves effectively, we will understand others better, and are in a better position to be the leader they and our organizations need and want. Resulting in a more inspired and engaged workplace experience for everyone.
Training the Mind
With an understanding of the mind, we are able to train it in order to increase our focus, clarity, and calm. Such qualities can be systematically trained using methods that have been developed and time-tested throughout more than two millennia in eastern contemplative traditions. These ancient techniques have proven to be relevant and highly effective in today’s demanding life.
Training our mind means developing mental effectiveness, in order to realize more of our potential on both professional and personal levels. A growing body of scientific research has shown the efficacy of these methods in increasing our well-being and our capacity to perform under demanding conditions.
Mind-training simply means to develop our ability to be in the present moment with a calm, focused, and clear mind. The essence of mind-training is to learn to manage and relax our own mind in a very ordinary way. Learning to manage and relax our mind means learning to manage our thoughts, emotions, words, and actions.
“Relaxing the mind will typically have several positive effects such as reducing stress and anxiety, improving productivity, as well as contributing to overall wellbeing and a greater sense of authentic presence in the here and now.” says Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche, the course instructor.
We learn to keep ourselves focused on what we are doing, we become more aware of what we are experiencing internally and externally and become better equipped to make the right choices and decisions regardless of the circumstances.
In short summary, mind-training is about becoming more focused and more relaxed.
